Samsung to Expand Mobile Phone Capacity in China

Tianjin Samsung Telecom Technology in China announced that they will inject US$168 million to raise annual capacity by 17 million handsets. At this moment, Samsung is able to produce 24 million handsets in China, mainly GSM models. With the expansion, Samsung will reach an annual capacity of 41.7 billion units, resulting in revenue of US$4.6 billion.
